Melanie is an associate attorney at PMR Law. After having previously represented both Plaintiffs and insurance companies in a variety of different cases, Melanie brings a unique perspective to all her cases.
Melanie earned her Bachelor’s degree from Baylor University, where she graduated as a member of the Honors College and of the highly selective Baylor Interdisciplinary Core program. She then went on to receive her Juris Doctorate from Baylor University School of Law, where she developed her advocacy skills through one of the nation’s top-ranked advocacy programs. While in Law School, Melanie was involved in moot court and was invited into the Order of the Barristers and the Women in Law society.
Having started her legal career representing individuals who were injured as a result of medical negligence in a state with difficult damage caps, Melanie quickly developed a passion for representing injured persons who had the cards stacked against them. Further, as an immigrant and native Spanish speaker herself, she feels privileged to have the ability to fight for individuals who may sometimes feel like the legal system is difficult and inaccessible to them.
During her spare time, Melanie enjoys exploring the incredible Houston restaurant scene with her family, cheering on the Houston Astros, and reading just about any book she can get ahold of.
